Ladies
This is the view from my livingroom window. Every day is see these two old ladies outside their flat. They always seem to dress the same, and they live in two identical flats with lace curtains. Maybe they´re twins. If I was still in school then I probably would have done an artsy fartsy project on them, but for now ill just continue being the creepy neighboor who always stares through the window. Today with a camera. Opsie.

Sølv
Im working on the logo for a website im creating, and Im trying to give it the effect of glitter in the sun. This is the how far ive gotten so far, but Im not completely satisfied. I did this by creating an animation in photoshop of slightly different photos of well...glitter:) If anyone have a better suggestion, let me know!

Shapes
I never felt that I learnt much when studying art in high school (could it be because I was too busy talking about how older boys were soo much more mature, or how the one vintage shop in town was totally over priced??). Anyway...one thing that did very much stick with me though was something we were taught in drawing class. To look at what you are drawing as shapes, and to see the negative space as an equal shape to the positive. This has stuck with me and I see now how this little lesson 9 years ago, completely changed the way I look at the world, being through a camera lens, or when just walking down the street.

Richard Nicoll AW10

Clouds
The girl who took these photos said they were taken when whe was sitting on her porch, I seriously thought they were paintings!!

Portable Fireplace Anyone?
Must. Have. Now.

"Swedish designer Fredrik Hylten-Cavallius designed the Piet, a chimney-free indoor fireplace with a brass reflector that burns ethanol fuel instead of wood. Because it doesn?t give off smoke, there is no need for a chimney, making it versatile and portable. It also has a layer of rockwool fire insulation between the reflector and the outer shell, which keeps the outside ceramic body cool, so you can keep it close to walls and furniture without worrying." - LoftLife

I <3 Chanel
First I thought this photo was from the 60s, but then I remembered Chanels S/S 09 couture collection.
"Key to the show's success was the involvement of Kamo, a Japanese hairdresser and Lagerfeld discovery whose team scored and scissored out?while sitting on the floor of a Chanel backroom?the incredible constructs of paper roses, camellias, leaf fronds, and feathers that adorned each girl." - Style.com

Xavier Veilhan / Versailles
The sculptural artist, Xavier Veilhan is currently showing lots of work at the Versailles in France, and it is pretty incredible to see how he has combined his "modern" take on art, with the historic surroundings. Its up til the end of December.

Rocks
I cant stop staring at this newly buildt house designed by Studio NminusOne, and located in Canada.
As I do have a thing for rocks, these windows made to showcase the rockwall hiding behind the house is pretty amazing. In not to sure about the location though, definitly wouldnt let my kids run around there! Imagine.....Mom! Im gonna go outside and plaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.............ok not funny.... :)

Ok so that was the prettiest, now to the funniest/weirdest/creepiest...
ok, so the last photo pretty much gave me a heart attack, I mean...what. the. fuck.
That woman/kid/granny ....serialkiller(??) confuses me on so many levels. Dont get me started on her drink, is that poo water? All I know is that I willl forever be haunted by those seriously CREEPY eyes...
Sidenote: Totally feeling the 80s art deco vibe, only America could pull this off.
PRYD
Yesterday a Norwegian design shop called PRYD started selling my cloud necklaces, very exciting indeed!!
www.prydbutikken.blogg.no
My friend Ingrid, sells some amazing stuff there as well. Ive written about her before, but since that time she's expanded loads and is now able to make a living off this which is pretty great :) If you don't live in Norway, fear not! She has an online shop as well:) www.jippijei.etsy.com Below is some of her designs!
I <3 you Michi
This morning I woke up to 5 orders of my cloud-necklaces, couldn't believe it because its not like I've sold loads since I put them up on Etsy. So I figured someone must have written about them in a blog or something, and I was right :) Its crazy how a bit of internet publicity can help you sales, I'm definitely not complaining:) Thank you www.michigirl.com!
Bit of nudity on a Sunday morning
And I present to you photographer Ryan McGinley, first known for each year going on roadtrips across America with a bunch of people, and photographing them naked. Might sound suspect, but the photos are amazing. This year hes getting alot of publicity for his latest series of photos, Moonmilk, shot in caves, lit up by coloured light.
